Role Description The Spray Foam Insulation Technician is an on-site role based in Sydney, NS. This role involves assisting with the preparation of job sites, setting up spray foam equipment, and applying insulation to walls, attics, crawl spaces, and other building areas according to specifications and safety standards. The technician will inspect surfaces and ensure proper coverage, adhesion, and clean finishes. Day-to-day tasks include loading and unloading materials, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, following safety and environmental procedures, and completing documentation such as job reports and material usage. The technician will interact with customers and team members on-site, coordinate with supervisors on scheduling and project requirements, and help maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Experience with spray foam or general insulation installation, including safe handling of materials and equipment operation.
- Basic construction or trades skills, such as measuring, cutting, and working with hand and power tools.
- Ability to work safely at heights, in confined spaces, and in varying weather conditions; strong awareness of safety regulations and PPE use.
- Good physical stamina, manual dexterity, and capacity to lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as required.
- Reliable communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions and provide clear updates to supervisors and customers.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to travel to job sites in and around Sydney, NS.
- Previous experience in insulation, construction, or HVAC is preferred, but on-the-job training may be available for motivated candidates.
